pezio electric speaker and the 50$ robot
« on: January 29, 2008, 09:25:57 PM »
If im going to hook up a pezio(spelled right?) speaker to my robot should i use a resistor between it and positive? I intend to wire it up like the led so that the neegative pin is connected to the controller.
All hail Rodney, the holy 555 timer

A piezo buzzer, right? I am guessing one of those round black ones with two wires attached?

Check the datasheet to be sure, but I think they use between 5mA and 20mA of current. So you'd just hook black to ground and the red wire to a digital output pin. Then just use the servo code to make it play sounds.
