hi evry1, am tryin to build a satellite dish with an extra function of holding a signal whilst on a moving vehicle.. now am building a base for the satellite which rotates clockwise and anticlockwise, am getting a light geared dc motor but am searching for a motor driver that is easy to use and cheap (money is an issue in my project).. for a while i was considering to buy a h-bridge due to it being able to rotate my motor in both directions, but i cant find a cheap one, so are there any ideas or alternatives that can help me?.. thnx

is this going to be rc or autonomous?

autonomous
-
buy MOSFETS which are high current transistors and make your own H bridge

have thought of that already, but guessing it might the cheapest way..
well on the same project am tryin to build a base for the satellite dish which will rotate both in the clockwise/anticlockwise direction ~360degress (my idea was thinking of making/buying something like the robotic arm base)..
any ideas??

i'm assuming you want precision turning ( meaning you can control exactly where you want it to be)
so for that just used a geared stepper motor or just a geared DC motor with encoder
how heavy objects will the base need to spin?
more details would be helpful as well

Look for motor controllers, motor drivers, ESC's, and a chip called the L298.
