for the first, you may find something there. For the second, I used it a while back. You'll need the generators and the power output kit (the black fan incthere is what you need.) the generators are actually just motors. Hook up a 9V and I think you might be good to go. However, the 9V might not be enough.

It's a no-go. Works good as a fan though.

The reviews should have some spes on grams of thrust produced.

I meant on the motor pages, usually from the motor page you can read the reviews and find out which ESC and which prop they used to get that many grams of thrust.

It may cost a bit more, but I researched and a brushless motor is way better than brushed... It's just less durable. Your call. Higher efficiency, or higher durability?

what do you mean by efficiency? lower required voltage/current, or better rpm?

have you considered asking this in a Radio Control forum rather than a Robotics forum?

the first sticky on RCgroups.com "Aircraft - Electric - General" section http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=966298
tells you about the awesome http://www.flybrushless.com/

FlyBrushless.com will tell you what force you can expect with a variety of motor/prop combos.

how much force you need to lift 3/4lb in a fixed wing aircraft will depend entirely on what airframe you are using.

dunk.
