Arduino Powered, WiiFit Controlled, Robotic Labyrinth Game
« on: January 15, 2009, 12:14:14 AM »
I had never experienced a video going viral until the last 48 hours. The stories about it are located here:
The Secrets Out About Our Robotic Labyrinth Game - http://blog.cowtowncomputercongress.org/?p=194
    and here:
Arduino Powered WiiFit Controlled Robotic Labyrinth Game - http://blog.cowtowncomputercongress.org/?p=153

The labyrinth game has even spawned the creation of an OpenCV computer vision study group at the local CCCKC Hacker Space so we can attempt motion detection to control the labyrinth game and let a computer play the game for us:  http://blog.cowtowncomputercongress.org/?p=120

Now, I've been a member of the Kansas City Robotics Society for over 5 years now. Do you think they would show any interest in a project from two of their own members? No, just one comment so far.

I'm not trying to grab attention when I fired off this rant toward our group.  I'm just trying to breathe some new life into the old club - help CODE BLUE - What do you think? Care to share any comments to the following thread? I'm afraid we're dying here --- http://www.kansascityrobotics.org/showthread.php?p=1128#post1128

Hey you should look into a Prototype This episode, one of the characters, zoz implements glyph tracking, a webcam, two rc servos, and a labyrinth/ball maze simialer to yours, and he made a program that detects the angle to the horizon of the glyph (a little piece of paper) and that orientation is transfered into x,y coordinates, which is transmuted into each servo. Its really quite cool, and it was just a test to make sure they were working.
