i got a scanner/ printer for free. it dont work. but I'll try to fix it. if i cant what can i do with the scanner bar? I'm guessing it has a bunch of little led's and detectors
thx

You guessed wrong. A (normal) scanner has one chip with a sensor of about one inch, and a CCFL light. :)
-
so how does that one inch sensor scan a whole page wide? some special lens?
and a CCFL light would be cool too

well sadly this scanner has no ccfl.
actually it's a flat plastic piece lighted up by a 3 pack of led's all in one SMD package. (red, blue, green)
i took 2 AA's to it and holy shiat is it bright. the red especially
