I havent seen a robot with this type of wheel in ages . . . and I figure most people havent at all . . .

Shows the motion capability of the Mecanum wheel that uses casters at a 45 degree angle to wheel rotation.

Mecanum wheels are awsome!  It is surprising that they are not more popular and that it is difficult to find them (and they are very expensive when you can find them!)... Anyway, thought I would contribute this robot featuring macanum wheels:
