This is of academic interest only IMO, but it gives some insight into the technology.
The ACAM time-to-digital converter chips appear to have all the processing needed for a time of flight pulsed laser radar/rangefinder. Laser, detector, optics, display are external.

I wish I was better with electronics. The details of that datasheet look like Chinese to me.

The evaluation system probably costs several $k, and would take me weeks of full-time study with lots of phone calls to Germany.
