Thanks for sharing.  This looks like it will be fun.  I have always enjoyed watching Myth Busters and other type shows for the prototyping, fabrication, and general craziness.  Hopefully this show won't disappoint.

I looked at the additional photos to, and I saw an all terrain six legged walker. so the firefighting theme of the episode that has been talked about isn't the only cool subject...
 ;D

I also hope it won't dissapoint, and I hope the episodes will be put on youtube immedeatly after they air in america, otherwise I'd have to wait untill they air in Belgium :/

I just saw the first episode of this season. it was cool. I wish they would have talked about more technical details.

I did see some familiar sensors....parallax pings, sharp IRs, and stereoscopic cameras. They also used Mecanum wheels from Airtrax.

Thats what sucks from discovery shows.... They have to keep them light, fluffy and dumb, because most of their audience are dumb dont think or know too much.  Or as in the case with Mythbusters, they have to shy of talking about certain technical aspects of their experiments since most people are dumb, stupid or a severe combination of both. The worst part would be some idiot kid getting the bright idea causing collateral damage to himself or intentional damage to others, when attemption a @home recreation.

If Discovery aired a show that was tailor made to the likes of the members of SoR... chances are most people wound not watch it and it would not make it a single season.  Prototype this, is a good show but I agree... No tech, No Specs, No Details, just blah blah-Dumb...  :'(

All schematics will be freely available (well, for first episode are already available)
