Post by: snooza on March 02, 2010, 01:35:59 PM
hi there
is there any voice recognition software that can notice a word you choose and do a command when it hears it.
like:
you say hello and it is used as a command to start a sound clip saying hello

Well, vista and win7 have voice recognition, you could write a program using that.
This robot does it http://narobo.com/robots/ButlerRobot/butler_robot.html (http://narobo.com/robots/ButlerRobot/butler_robot.html)

Hi,
I use "VRbot Module"
The VRbot module provides voice recognition functions for built-in Speaker Independent (SI)
commands and up to 32 user-defined commands (Speaker Dependent (SD) trigger or commands,
Voice passwords (SV)).
A simple and robust serial protocol can be used to access these functions from the user's
microcontroller boards.
