Title: using the PING ultrasonic sensor

Hi everyone, I am new here. I am doing a school project that require us to use the H8S2633R microproccesor to program the PING ultrasonic sensor. I have already done triggering the pulse, but I could not get back the echo. I use a digital oscilloscope to find what is the problem and the result is that the echo that is returning to me is only about 0.5V. It is not enough for the microprocessor to determine it as high. So, what is my problem? hardware or software? thanks for helping me :)

Take a look at op amps. That should fix you right up.

It might be a power problem, are you sure it's getting 5v? In my experience they just don't work well without that.

+1 for this. I've seen a few other people have their ping sensor issues resolved with a better power supply right in posts on this message board.

the power supply did not supply exactly 5v.
