Butler Robot
« on: April 28, 2007, 06:59:24 PM »
I am building an autonomous butler robot for my house. I decided to use sonar system which maps out a map on a nearby laptop. I have an idea on how to do this but I was wondering of other ways to do this
Please help me.
I have various systems set up ,voice command, motors working (relays control it), an arm with logic signals, etc.
MY problem is if I would say" robot come here" how can the robot find me and if there is a better way to move autonomously other than using my IR sensors.

When you say "I have various systems set up", what do you actually mean.

A voice command system would be ideal for voice commands, in this way of thinking.

since you already have one microphone working, just add two more, and do a triangulation based on sound amplitude to localize where your voice came from.
