Title: Urggent! Need help to develop stereo vision robot?

I need to develop a stereo vision robot for my project in school recently. But i am beginner to robot field, do i know where can i get the stereo vision algorithm or source code as my reference? Can anyone teach me how to develop this stereo vision robot?

My topic is "Stereo vision and Path finding for robot navigation". May i know what other  functions that involve in implementing stereo vision system other than calculate the disparity?  I need using some algorithm to identify an object in the navigation and determine the position by using stereo vision. How do indentify an object using stereo vision? How to find the position of the object after identifying? Anyone can help me and provide guideline for me ?
