Wow, these were awesome! I've been looking for autonomous flying robots.

It looks like the second one hangs in a thread or something, but then it flips over and starts flying like an ordinary plane. Looks so cool.

This give you an idea of what can be done with this style of airplane -

Just a "simple" matter of adding computer control  ;)

i used to fly RC planes back in my days lol

When you fly upside down everything is reversed, so if u (i forgot the names!) move the elevaton flap (anyone know the name?) down to move the plane up then when ur upside down u have to move it up to go up.. i've crashed many times in my days :/

I have this problem with even regular ground robots . . . what I do is twist/turn my body to always face the way the robot does, keeping the same reference frame, only keeping my head in the direction of the robot to see it. It's weird, but it works really well for me . . .

I guess it would be harder to go upside down when your plane does, though . . .

I know a great way to train this skill without looking like a retard.
J/K Admin  ;D

Buy/download GTA San Andreas (game) and fly with the airplanes there.
I fly upside down for fun, and reasonably long too :)

lol yea . . . people have questioned me why I do that . . . but no one has been able to control robots better than me either :P

I'm a few days away from completing my latest robot (suspense!). It is a ground RC robot that can invert itself, meaning the controls invert too . . . and it has spinning claws! (like a real robot!)

sigh . . . I miscalculated some spring values (both length and K values) . . . then my $35 servo broke (I think a gear tooth broke, but haven't investigated yet) . . .

Then I got crazy busy and haven't gotten back to fixing both those problems . . .
