Title: Microcontroller

can anyone please tell me if the below microcontroller will be suitable for programming chips, suitable for robot building??? as i dont want to buy it and find out its useless, your help would be very much apprechiated  :)

that isnt actually a microcontroller . . . its a microcontroller programmer . . .

the very first sentence on the overview page:
"Suitable for programming Microchip2 FLASH PICâ„¢ microcontrollers"

but it does come with a seperate microcontroller IC:
"Kit includes a PIC16F627 Flash Microcontroller that can be re-programmed up to 1000 times for experimenting at will"

i wouldnt recommend it . . .

so why wouldnt you recoomend it, others think it would be perfect for starting out??

I wouldnt recommend it because there are better stuff out there . . .
