axon fuse
« on: April 03, 2011, 02:09:32 PM »
I made a bad connection in the axon with an ultrasound and smoke came out, and when I load a program does not load, I want to know if the axon has a fuse or definitely broke down the axon.

If smoke come out of the processor then it is dead.
If the smoke came another component then it is dead.

Fuzes don't smoke when they blow so most likely something on your Axon board is now bad.

Now for some troubleshooting:
Is there the correct voltage on the Regulator output?
Do any parts looked burned, have a small hole in them or do you see any brown or black deposits? Use a magnifying lens.
Do any parts get hot when power is applied?

All electronics have magic smoke inside. If you ever let the magic smoke out, they stop working . . . :P

What specifically was your bad connection? What had smoke come out? waltr asked some good questions.

It may be possible to repair your Axon.
