I've bought 4 HSR-1425CR Servos... that I realize now, that they can't be programmed for fixed positions ! (instead, only its velocities can be controlled).
I kinda know how to make a normal servo a CR servo ... but should I try it the other way?.. i.e. putting some blockage on the gear so that it then has some fixed end positions.
Please let me know if it is feasible, and how can I do it exactly..?

Well, you have to know how they are modified.
You could buy a replacement gear set for the servo and that could probably do it.
But still, i am not sure how they are modified for by the manufacturer.
How much did the servo cost each?

You cannot convert it back, even with a normal gearset. To save costs the manufacturer just left out all the unnecessary and expensive stuff that made it not CR, and you can't really put it back.

I have done it, Does your servo still have the motor controller?
If yes, there should be two resistors where the pot is placed on normal servos, remove them, add a small pot( i salvaged mine from a broken 180º servo, put that pot on the main shaft some how, i used glue, but before gluing, center it, send a signal for it to be in the 90º, and move the pot till it stops moving...
there is no need for that little plastic stopper thing, mine still works fine after 6 months :)
