robot land!
« on: May 08, 2009, 11:36:11 PM »
Apparently Robot Land, located in Korea, will be finished in 2012. I keep planning to go to Korea and keep changing my mind . . . maybe I'll save my trip for then . . .

But the real question is, considering the hyper fast development of robot technology, how many years will it take to be embarrassingly outdated?

It will probably be outdated the moment it is finished. Sorta like taking home a new computer it's out of date before you open the box.

true, are they constantly updating the ideas for rides as they go?
i mean, if it takes them 6-12+ months to design and build a ride, its going to be outdated...
but that's not to say that people will still not like it...
i mean, if its a new attraction most of the time it will draw people...

There are so many obsolete rides in theme parks that people still enjoy! So it doesn't matter if will be obsolete robotic wise, but it will be new as a theme park. Even if the robotic technology will be more advanced it will look like a robotic historical place to see different steps the robots got through.
