microcontroller review

The microcontroller im about to buy has the following things.im making a four wheeled thingy -which "does not barely commit suicide by driving of the table".i want it for future modification and make a more advanced and expensive robot.are these feautures enough?? or do i need more? plz let me know .

This is the same chip (the 640) used on the Axon which admin sells here (click Axon MCU on main site).

I'm not sure about the connection setup of the dev board, somebody more experienced might have some thoughts.

That's a lot of features, you could probably get away with much less though I'm sure they wouldn't go to waste if you've bigger plans for it in the future. What price is it?

Hi,

Not trying to rain on your parade, but it sounds like you are gonna just buy the microcontroller chip, so just in case, you should be aware that a 100 pin TQFP package might be a little out of your league to solder.

You might wanna start with a DIP-40... And you can get more power in a DIP-40 than you'll need for the first couple of years.

A rather fast and fairly heavy robot with quite large wheels needs what? A lot of power?

If it's that whole development board from your link I think that's pretty good value. Plenty of scope for experimenting on there.
