Crimper Tool Part Number
« on: August 30, 2008, 04:16:10 PM »
Does anyone know the part # of a crimper that functions similar to Admin's ( or is the exact product pictured)

Even if someone can tell me what type of crimper that is , that will be helpful too ( types - side entry , top entry , ratchet,  etc. )
Please part # from DigiKey.

Thanks,
Eric

I found admin's crimper's part # . Its  A25448-ND on DigiKey. Its a bit too expensive for me though - $180.
http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail?name=A25448-ND

Also, admin's can handle 18-26 AWG whereas I doubt that I will ever need to use 26 AWG wire - so I was looking through it some more and found this for $130.

Is that a good crimper ? It has basically all the same specs as Admin's crimper except it can only do 18-24 AWG.

Thanks,
Eric

Eric,

Take a gander at this crimper tool. It looks just like Admin's.

@Admin and JonHylands
Those are nice but I'd rather get a crimper with markings in AWG format

Ehhhh. . Ok, If "awaking" old posts annoys some people why not delete them so they dont show up on Google ?  Like I said, I wanted to be 100% sure of what I was buying. Ive been involved in model aviation for nearly 25 years and I have never given anyone a degrading answer to a simple question. Watch how you treat new members IMHO you need to get a life bud
