Title: Sabertooth 2x25 with USB to TTL?
Post by: SeagullOne on September 28, 2008, 05:00:35 PM
Okay, I know I've seen it somewhere before on the internet, quite possibly Dimension Engineering's website, but I can't find any trace of it now.

I have a sabertooth 2x25 motor driver which I plan to connect to a PC's serial or USB Port. To do so, dimension engineering suggested a MAX232 type chip, but can't you use a USB to TTL converter cable too? For instance, this one?:

For instance, if I wanted to use simplified serial mode, don't you just connect the green wire to S1 on the Sabertooth (and then the black wire to the 0V on the sabertooth, do I have that right?).

Thanks in advance!

That's correct.  That cable/converter will work fine.

Pls reply.
