Inexpensive Linear Actuators
« on: December 28, 2007, 02:52:08 PM »
I've seen these recommended elsewhere http://www.trossenrobotics.com/linear-actuators.aspx
but these seem to be extra expensive. Anybody know where I can find some actuators with a long stroke length but less price?

What about just using a rack gear to create linear motion from a servo or a motor?
You can see an example here towards the bottom of the page http://www.vexlabs.com/vex-robotics-advanced-gear-kit.shtml
You can probably find more using google.
