Ultrasonic conections

I have to built a robot that fires to an obstacule. The problem is that I want to include it in a 40$ Robot. The robot should continue "walking" when it finds a target, but i dont know how to make the connections between the ultrasonic sensors and two small motors that will fire a ball. The emissor and the receptor are like these:

First of all: How do I mount the sensors?

Second: Do I need some chip (Like l293d)?

Third: What materials do I need?

Fourth: What connections do I need to do?

do you want to use a microcontroller or not?


if not then you would need a comparator , motor driver , and either IR or ultrasonic sensors.
Look those topics up. I even wrote about some of them on the members tutorials page.

ok so you want to spend a total of 40 dollars only? this is very hard to do , expecially if you live outside the US

now then

you need two servos  = around 20 dollars
one ultrasonic sensor = around 20 dollars
one sharp IR sensor = around 12 dollars
one homemade IR sensor = around 3 dollars
one microcontroller
one battery pack

now to launch a ball you either use a motor to make a catapult or an air pump

Also, do some research . We can't just tell you exactly how to build your robot. You need to know what your are doing yourself .

The $50 Robot is what you want, as it uses a microcontroller. The $40 Robot is hardwired therefore can't be programmed.
