Title: Rubber Wheels

Hi everyone.  I am currently building a vehicle for a competition but I can't seem to find the right wheels.  Between each pair of wheels on this vehicle, I need a single, solid axle.  I would like the wheels to be rubber because the vehicle has to move quickly and reverse direction.  I also need the axle and the wheel to fall within a certain ratio (3 to 64 or lower).  For instance, I found an 8" diameter wheel and 1/4" axle would give me the right ratio, but I can't find any wheels that will fit that diameter axle.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I'm open to changing wheel type, but I don't think I can avoid having a strict ratio.  Thank you!

That sounds like a clever optimization competition yea?

The reason it's hard to find that kind of wheel is because it would easily break the tiny axle. Just drill a hole in its proper axle and weld the thin one in. Then check your maths to make sure it doesn't snap under all that torque!

If the wheels you do find are for a larger diameter axle then you could fit a bushing into the wheel to reduce it diameter. That should fit within the rules.
