I did many searches and did not get one hit on sound tracking of any kind, except my own post.

Botwire was selling a "sound sensing and tracking" board... I purchased an early version, but never got around to doing anything with it.  At the time he was pretty excited and I wanted to show my support for his desire to start up a little business.  His website is http://www.geocities.com/botwire/ (http://www.geocities.com/botwire/)... it doesn't look like he is selling them, but you can contact him and find out.
