Holy crap, I'd be too scared to get into that. I'd need a power kill button in my hand the whole time. Those arms are strong enough to crush him like a bug against the floor!

They have a theme park ride where you can program a robot arm, get on the end of the arm, and ride it all over the place  ;D

That would be an arm built with pedestrian riders and their safety in mind.

This is a full industrial arm that they 'transformed' into a ride.

Which i believe are industrial arms converted for human satisfaction  ;D

link?

They look rather professionally engineered for rides.

Link to the articles that tell you it's a converted industrial arm, duh!  :P

Can't gleam much from some videos.

Doesn't look like that's in a theme park, and I wouldn't ride that either.

Robocoaster.com

And where on the site do they say they are using refurbished industrial arms and installing them into theme parks?

As a robotics pioneer, the KUKA Robot Group is one of the leading suppliers of industrial robotics. KUKA today offers a uniquely wide range of industrial robots and robot systems, to which the Robocoaster also belongs.

Makes my point exactly, they partnered with the manufacture of the arms with the intention of having riders and engineering from the beginning safety systems into the design. They did not take a off the shelf industrial arm and stick a meat bag on the end of it, like Admins posting did. Big difference.

So  :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P
