using the iphone as an rc transmitter

hey I want to implement into one of my robots a way to control it via my own app. I do know how to program apps. I want to have a joystick on the right and some commands on the left. and on the center a space for the camera image for it to be FPV. any ideas of how I can do this?

There is a platform available that is used to design apps that will run on android as well as ios devices that will control your robot or other devices.  It interfaces with a micro-controller called the EZB.  You can learn more about it here:
