i remember this ad from about 2-3 years ago, really interesting ad. but either would have taken a while to do or faked. but still a pretty funny ad.

it had to be faked
the part where the tires are going up the ramp:
the first tire is almost stopped and when it hits the other one, and the 2nd tire accelerates to like 4x the original tires speed
though theres no dought that that is one of the cooler commercials I've seen

you may actually be able to do that with weighted tires.

A year ago I read something that it wasn't faked, and they did that. They had to do it hundreds of times, and they had a team of people working on it.

haha, it seems pointless to do something like this for an ad when they could be working on something much more important. but its their money and they can spend it how they like, even if it is ridiculous...

Yeah that tire thing is an old trick with weights on the inside of the tires.. they balance them juuuust on the brink of rolling forward, so all it takes is a tiny tap to get it to roll uphill.

I think companies overestimate the importance of comercials.

yup, whether they had a big ad or not wouldnt really influence my buy much, i would go off what i see/need, not whether if i dissemble the car i can make a fantastic contraption thing.

It's not a waste of money - car companies have all these marketing people and market analyzers and such. They will only make a commercial if they will get more revenue than they spent. If commercials weren't important they wouldnt make any ;)

waste of money ..i posted it coz i thought u people would se the ingenuinity and the originality of this add...this is the world's most costliest ad and the way it is done is really superb..llook at the planning ...its really gr8
the last few lines are even better .....isnt it great when things just work.. thats the actual message.

i agree that ads play a big role in sale of items especially if you can get the ad stuck into someones head so they talk about it spreading the word more.
