Title: Recharging a Battery Using Solar
Post by: Sylvestre on April 09, 2013, 07:50:01 PM
Hello,

I have a quick question about recharging a battery with a solar panel and solar controller.  So I am using a terminal strip like this http://www.actrac.net/images/A1-TBS-CCJ-006.JPG. (http://www.actrac.net/images/A1-TBS-CCJ-006.JPG.)  In order to charge the battery, I would simply have to hook up the output of the solar controller to the terminal strip and then bridge the port its connected on to the battery, right?

If someone could confirm this, that would be great.

You need to make sure the voltage of your solar panel is appropriate for charging.

You'll also risk burn your house down if you try charging LiPos that way.

Yes I understand that. I'm charging SLA batteries.  Other than that, everything else looks good, right?
