Title: free samples pt.2...

HI! ;)

has anyone ever gotten anything of use from texas instruments. they have tons of free samples and im not sure what i should request.

Any suggestions? ANything to help me out?

Well if you are prototyping, make sure that you get the DIP packages, and not SOIC, QFD or other surface mount chips.
That should cut your choice down dramatically, since the majority arent DIP ive noticed.

yeah hi me again. i'm kinda a retard so i have no clue wat this guy is talking about?( need a thorough explanaition)

If you don't know the difference between DIP and SOIC, you should probably stop worrying about getting free stuff that will be most likely useless to you, and start doing some reading on electronics and microcontrollers and such.

There have been many references to such reading material posted in this forum over the past couple weeks.

Yeah that's true. I got some small 3x4 mm stuff that is surface mount. pain in the arse

i think it would be better for me to brush up on some info before i worry about it.
