Title: Help with EMG sensors and Servos
Post by: curtisboy on October 21, 2009, 03:38:15 PM
I have no experience with robotics, but want to learn.  I plan to use electromyograph (EMG) sensors on my skin (like they use for EKGs) to control servo motors.  The EMG output is typically 10-15 microvolts analog.  Can anyone suggest a controller that could take this input and provide a proportional servo control output?

If necessary, I can amplify the signal and pass it through an A-D converter first, but I would like to avoid that if possible.

Thanks for your help!

Although I have not had any experience with this, my first guess would be that you would have to amplify the signal first before it can be of any real use to you.
