Title: not a robot but sort of related
Post by: Juicaj1 on March 13, 2011, 03:45:58 PM
I am building a railgun with a friend for our schools physics class, I was wondering if anyone on here has ever built one of these before and have any tips? We don't really have any questions on specific things except calculations and for that we're just going to ask our teacher.

1. Robots contain electricity. Railguns contain electricity. That's all they have in common.
2. If you "don't really have any questions on specific things" and are assisted by a teacher, why did you post here?

In short, I believe you are barking up the wrong tree.

well I figured that a bunch of people who build robots would know a good deal about electricity and probably do other things with it than just robotics. I just thought maybe someone would have some sort of idea about things I should do shouldn't do or things like that. maybe not though.

There was a thread on your question a few months ago here. Just search the forum.
