Here are my reasons why I haven't moved over to Linux . . . nothing anyone hasn't already said before though . . .

Despite it being 'better' and 'more powerful', the reality is that it isn't as user friendly as windows and takes much longer to get things done. The time it takes to figure things out could be spent actually doing something . . . I'll save the challenges for robot building ;D

Also, compatibility. Windows is considered the gold standard, so unfortunately for Linux there is still too much out there that doesn't work with it. Too much robot software that isn't compatible, so I'd still be forced to have a dual boot anyway.

I haven't seen much that Linux can do that Windows can't . . . but then again I'm a mechanical engineer, what do I know? :P

(but don't get me wrong, I rant about Windows all the time!)
