Title: How to make an helicopter interact with a symbian phone?
Post by: luke14free on February 29, 2008, 07:05:30 AM
Hello everybody, I'm new in electronics so I'm asking for your help here.
I'm creating an "intelligent helicopter" starting from a few things:
1) A phone (nokia n73, 6600, 6630, a programmable one...)
2) A gps (to tell mobile phone where the helicopter is)
3) electronics stuff and engines and many other things.
The helicopter's mind is the phone, that is on the helicopter and interacts with the gps module over bluetooth. I didn't have any problem building up the software for the semi-intelligent mind because I did it in python, but my problem now is this one:
"How can my phone tell to the helicopter what to do/where to go?" "Via irda?" "Via bluetooth?" "Via audio signals?" I don't know where to start because I'm not expert in electronics at all.
Any hint, comment or suggestion is well accepted!
Thank you,
Luca

after you stabilise the whole thing, you can throw the phone into the (now stable) helicopter.
considering both are resitant enough to the impact, your phone has just interacted with your helicopter, affecting its current yaw and roll ;D
