DC motors help

Ok, now maybe this post will help many people in understandin' the DC motors, now i have one question, do i need an H-bridge, or an motordriver to contr. my DC motors with the IC?

A motor driver is an h-bridge but an h-bridge is not a motor driver... kinda like the all squares are rectangles, so either can control your motors from an MCU, but a motor controller is easier. Just an L293D will do the trick.

Just an L293D will do the trick.

True. But the SN754410 is the modern replacement of the L293D. It is cheaper to buy, is pin compatible, and can supply more current.
