Title: Axon Blackfin Power
Post by: vidam on July 25, 2008, 10:02:36 PM
Can i have separate power supply for the blackfin and the axon. For example I have a 9 Volt battery connected to the blackfin. To the axon I have a 6 volt battery to BAT.

Is this ok when using the Blackfin and Axon together?

Yeap. Just make sure grounds are common. The uart on the axon has rx/tx/ground, so that ground pin is all you need for a common ground.

I just ran two wires from the unregulated ground/power bus on the Axon and directly plugged that in to the Blackfin.

that sounds like you only had 1 power supply to the axon and jumpered it to the blackfin from the unregulated ground/pwr bus?
