FT232R

I made a quick schematic in paint for connecting an ft232r chip to a microcontroller so that i could program it using a usb cable. does it look okay? It's really sloppy  :P

I've been toying with a design for FT232RL lately.
I don't see much there, since it's lo res, but I'm looking for someone to discuss this with, and maybe figure out the 'right' way to do it.

the FTDI datasheets are really good.
i always just copy one of their application notes directly.

i've got my ftdi today, can't wait to see it running.
as dunk said, the datasheets seem pretty good. they have examples for self-powered, bus powered and power switched configurations.
