Title: I have an important question
Post by: CUrules12 on December 16, 2009, 06:10:33 PM
I am gonna look into building an autonomous robot for my senior project at school that can detect lights and has a rangefinder and all on it

my question is, will I be able to do this with no programming experience or anything of the sort at all?

If you have no experience in this kinda stuff, check out the $50 robot. It could detect lights and has a sharp ir rangefinder upgrade for it:

You will be able to get something working with a 'copy-and-paste' level of programming skill, but if you want to make a good robot, you're going to have to learn to program.

That's just how it is...
