You can't just go out and make a crawling robot. You have to learn to start off with small steps. Check out the $50 robot tutorial, it will tell you exactly how to do everything - and after you do that, the crawler robot won't be too far away.

Also note that we aren't going to just hand you everything (because we can't). Just google "crawling robot" and just start looking from there.

There you can buy legs for a crawler robot. I guess you could try to make your own, but it would be very hard to do. Also search for "hexapod", tons of people have made them before.

Bangarang has also created a tutorial descibing a basic hexapod robot. The tutorial is not completely finished yet, but I believe it is to be completed soon and the information on the page should be enough for you to start some basic form of the hexapod mechanics. Then, I'd recommend you use servos instead of DC motors and control it using your $50 robot board.

ok, ill be building a hexxapod soon so go to this site  www.lynxsmotion.com (http://www.lynxsmotion.com)  and go to their hexapod kits, u can buy peices to make your own since building from a kit kinda defeats the whole perpose
