Parallax BS2p40

Anyone familiar the usefulness of the following two devises? 1) Parallax Basic stamp BS2p40 and (2) Z-World 94VO Key LCD Buzzer interface.  Is there a need in the field of robotic controls for either of these units?  Components only.  Regards, ZEE
