Cheap CNC Service?
« on: November 10, 2008, 02:44:46 PM »
I checked the parts section, they all replied with pricing around $900+, which is beyond (extremely) my limit, as well as the fact that each piece of material is around 11 inches

the materials are HDPE, Brass, Copper, and aluminum, one of each, each being 3-10 inches... what are some cheap shops?

Just curious, what size of pieces?

I'm looking at making a CNC machine.

Would a 3 axis machine be enough, or would your pieces require more?

OK.  So you're looking for raw materials, not parts... right?  That doesn't seem to agree with your post subject.

I buy all my metals at https://www.speedymetals.com/.  They are the cheapest provider of high quality metals that I have been able to find.
They don't have plastic, so you can buy that at http://www.onlinemetals.com/.

OK.  That's what I thought originally.  So I asked, "what parts are you looking for", and you proceeded to list raw materials.  ???

I'm not sure if you can use other materials but what about 3D printing? Definitely much cheaper than that . . .

Also laser cutting and water cutting . . .
