Title: Wiring for $50 robot, pic "sbs_connect7_large.JPG"
Post by: cas64 on July 10, 2010, 07:48:01 AM
I have a question about the wiring that is shown on the following pic that comes from the SoR website:

When I got to this step in the build, I did not have anything on the front side of my PC board in hole 11B, which is where the purple wire in the picture connects.

Is that a problem?

Here is how the back of my PC board looks if that helps: http://www.flickr.com/photos/51217215@N02/4779400431/# (http://www.flickr.com/photos/51217215@N02/4779400431/#)
and here is a pic of the front side: http://www.flickr.com/photos/51217215@N02/4779400877/# (http://www.flickr.com/photos/51217215@N02/4779400877/#)

Thanks!

To the PC board in hole 8B and NOT 11B, this is the output of the 5V voltage regulator to the middle row of the sensor power bus.

nah thats fine, the purple wire takes 5V regulated power from the voltage regulator to the centre row of pins in the inputs header, it just goes to 11b but it actually connects to 12B-17B
