Title: $50 robot, order of events question
Post by: ErikY on February 03, 2012, 01:47:04 PM
I am a bit confused, and searched, but could not find the answer here.

So, I am going through the tutorial, and the first step is making the wheels.

It says to modify the servo.

So, I read the modify the servo tutorial, and it is telling me to program the microcontroller to command the servo to go to 0 degrees.

This may be a dumb question, and if so, I apologize, but I am not sure how I can program the microcontroller until I build it in step 3?

Am I missing something painfully obvious?

That does seem like a bit of an omission.  You can modify the servo now, though (but don't glue the pot in place), and then get the centering taken care of once you've got the microcontroller working.

I guess I can also just build the microcontroller first right? From the tutorial, I see no reason why that wouldn't work.
