I'll be watching it.
They just put up the schedule. The exciting stuff starts about 7:40pm EDT. Touchdown at 7:53pm . . . then probably an hour of press releases and if we are lucky, crude pics from the lander.

Successful touchdown!!!

The last 10 seconds were suspenseful . . . went from "1700 meters" to "80 meters" in like 5 seconds . . . got me worried a bit there . . .

For those who missed it, there is a nice 3D animation on BBC:

And they (http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/) will show the first images and commentary at 9:30pm.

Yay, a completely perfect landing! Landed with a quarter of an degree tilt. Thats really neat!
I got pretty worried with the tight landing as well. But was it really only 10 seconds? Felt like forever :P
Cant't wait for the first images!

Are you guys following their news updated?
I saw the one today and it's really interesting because they really describe everything very openly. They talked about the arm. It's folded up by now and they will use it to take photos under the lander to be able to see if the other two legs is standing stable. They need to know that before they start digging because it may cause the lander to tilt or move when the arm puts a force to the lander.
Looking forward to the next news update!
