scavenged a vcr and want to remove the pins and wheels and stuff sticking up but they are somehow pressed in tightly. Dont know how to explain it im just hoping someone kinda gets the jist of what im asking

The press fit pins can be removed by bending the metal plate they're pressed into, but it's a tough job and chances are that you won't be able to reuse them.
Best way to butcher old equipment is to strip the parts that goes out easily and then perhaps save the remainder if it has got useable parts that you don't need right away - but that takes a bit of storage room along the way.
Personally, I just grab whatever is reasonable easy to get and junk the rest - when you dump the sad leftovers, chances are you will find something else to strip. These days so much get thrown away.
