Title: Axon Microcontroller Pin Connector advise?!?!?
Post by: joezack86 on March 22, 2010, 03:10:09 PM
I am doing a side project for myself, using an Axon Microcontroller.  I am fairly new to electronics, so I was wondering if I could get some advise on what pin connectors I should use for my Microcontroller.

Any Advise is helpful.

Thank You

uh, there are many i/o pins on the axon. what do you want to do? use a sensor? servo? Motor?

Welcome to the forum!
Just some advise, please put more time into your questions when you type them. Not to be mean or anything, its just that you will get more replies from people if they can understand your question :)

Thank you for the advise.  Let me be more specific, sorry I again I am very new to the world of Robots.

My project consists of SRF05 ultrasonic sensor, and several small cell phone vibrators.  I already saw a posting for this same microcontroller and ultrasonic sensor being used, but it is about coding the system in C.

I already have wires, but I would like to know if there is a specific type of pin housing that I would have to get for an Axon Microcontroller.  I hope this is specific enough.  I have read through on the website, and having a hard time looking for this answer.  Maybe all of the pin housings are the same, but I would like to make sure I get the right ones because I will be using this for a school budgeted project.

Also, after looking through this website and forum, I think I am set on making a robot of my own.  So you will be seeing me a lot from now on.

Thank you for your help!

no problem man!

as for the pin housings, I have these currently since I dont want the hassle of crimpers, ect. they dont fit PERFICTLY but they work for me: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=9766 (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=9766)

This is what I use, and how I do it:
