Post by: shyam4uall on August 29, 2008, 11:56:09 PM
hello...guys i am just a beginer so doesn't have much info about this field.I m building a computer controlled RC car where the navigation part of the car wud be controlled through the parallel port of the PC.

It also mounts a CAM so now the problem is dat is there any wireless webcam which i can use.How can i get the videos or pictures to my PC for monitoring if its wirelessly done ?Also i want to have obstacle detection placed in the bot n want the data send to my PC.So for dis which type of sensors are suitable ?

For retriving the data from sensor and CAM on my PC which microcntroller is best suited keeping in the mind the I/O ports and other stuffs (wirelessly) ??

Plz guys help me with some ideas...

There's a BlueTooth tutorial here http://www.societyofrobots.com/electronics_bluetooth_robot.shtml (http://www.societyofrobots.com/electronics_bluetooth_robot.shtml)

Check out this sensor tutorial http://www.societyofrobots.com/sensors.shtml (http://www.societyofrobots.com/sensors.shtml)

Here's another on RC control http://www.societyofrobots.com/remote_control_robot.shtml (http://www.societyofrobots.com/remote_control_robot.shtml)

Another suggestion is to look at http://www.sparkfun.com (http://www.sparkfun.com)  ..lots of possibilities there!
