Hey guys, u might wanna check out a free cading software called freecad. It certainly does have a lot of bugs but it works
. Plus, a lot of us at this site r programmers so

You know what other CAD program is free? Autodesk Inventor. Or 3D StudioMax if you want something more "artsy". Yes, they are free for students, but aren't most of us here students?

For those of us who are not students anymore, there's another free as in free beer (not open source) 2D CAD solution :
Draftsight, by the creators of Solidworks:
http://www.3ds.com/products/draftsight/overview/
It works very similar to AutoCAD.
