Title: Path Finding Algorithm for Robot with one sensor

Hello, This is my first time posting here.
I'm just wondering if any one can recommend me a Path Finding Algorithm that is easy to implement and fit for robot that only have one sensor, which is the proximity infrared censor mounted in front of it so it can see an obstacle in front of it.
