Sure you want to make one? You'll save time and money by just buying one. In the United States, they are easy to find. For example, www.amazon.com/StarTech-com--RS232-Serial-Adapter-ICUSB232/product-reviews/B000067SNB/ref=sr_1_2_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1 (http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com--RS232-Serial-Adapter-ICUSB232/product-reviews/B000067SNB/ref=sr_1_2_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1)

You will need a driver for your computer, too.
