Laptop for robot?
« on: July 06, 2008, 10:46:02 AM »
Hey,

I'm working on a robot for Admin's robot contest. It has a webcam and voice recognition. Is using a laptop good for these tasks?

Thanks,

Roberto

you might be able to get by using other dedicated hardware circuits for voice recognition, but any type of advanced vision processing will definately require a PC.

Or maybe something other than a 'web' cam?
You'll have to do the math to figure out which is cheaper when it's all said and done.
